ANCESTORS

John Budd (Generation 1) migrated to America from England in 1637 and is the first known BUDD in the Untied States. John & his brother Thomas Budd, both settled in New England. John Budd was a founder of the New Haven Colony. A house that John Budd built in 1649, "The Old House" or "Cutchogue House" still exists and has been declared a National landmark, being the oldest English-style home in new York.

Dr. Daniel Budd (1751-1815) crossed the Delaware with US President George Washington.

Violets Budd's Great-Grand Parents William Marshall (1810) and Katherine A. Walker Marshall (1815) had a child named Nancy E. Marshall, who was a cousin of Thomas Riley Marshall. Thomas was Governor of Indiana and later became Vice President of the United States under President Woodrow Wilson from 1913-1921. (See Thomas Riley Marshall / USA President & Vice Presidents)

Violet Budd's mother was Goldia Mae Penn Marshall who is a direct descendant of William Penn, the famous Pennsylvania Quaker.

CLYDE & VIOLET BUDD
Clyde Budd was raised by his Aunt Zoda Mae Fitton when his mother died when he was 3 yrs old.

Clyde Budd has web toes which other descendants have inherited.

All Clyde Budd's Kids were born in Indiana (Dot, Bill, Don, Joe, Sue, Micki, Ted) except for 8th child Vera Kay Budd.

►In 1940, Clyde & Violet moved themselves across the country with their 7 kids to California in a '36 Ford.

►Clyde Budd worked on "JOHN DILLINGER's" gangster car when he was an auto mechanic in Indiana.

►Clyde Budd had a talent for playing musical instruments (Banjo, Guitar, Ukelele, Keyboards)
 

OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS / DESCENDANTS
►Jim Marshall (Violet Marshall Budd's brother) was with General Eisenhower in the "Invasion of Normandy" (D-Day) on June 6, 1944 during World War II.
