►Father David Pritchard
Ramsey was killed by a train as he drove a truck (Independent Truck
Driver) delivering fruit from Florida to South Carolina. Dave was 21 when
his father died.
►Was inducted into the Army Air Force during WWII and spend most of his
time stationed in Australia (His favorite place on earth). Was also
stationed in the Philippines & Japan.
► Owned RAMSEY BROTHERS
MEAT MARKET / 1st & Date St, San Diego, CA (Now I-5) with brothers, Emmet Steven Ramsey, Wycliff Hillis
Ramsey & Lamar Ramsey in San Diego, Ca (1950).
►Bought 654 Jefferson Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91910 on June 13, 1953 and
owned it til his death on July 24, 2000.
►Was an avid Table Tennis player and was on the Board of Directors of the
largest Table Tennis club in the USA for 35 yrs. (San Diego Table Tennis
Association/ SDTTA). Was the first person inducted into the SDTTA Hall of
Fame in 1991)
►Worked as an FAA Inspector / Quality Control at Rohr Aircraft Corp /
Retired after 32 Yrs in April 1984. |
